Job summary

BDO USA seeks a Manager, Outsourced Finance & Accounting to manage end-to-end outsource engagements for Government Contracting clients. You will oversee proposals, staffing, final work product, and portfolio performance while maintaining client relationships and timely billing.

The role involves leading accounting functions, GAAP/compliance, and indirect rate planning, with oversight of project setup, funding, and profitability. CPA preferred and ESOP/Total Rewards benefits available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.

Responsibilities

• Understands and works on all accounting functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, cash management, indirect rate calculation, and GovCon project accounting.
• Manages monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepares GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Ensures accurate revenue recognition, complex contract accounting, and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GovCon regulations.
• Ensures compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA, and federal contracting regulations while maintaining a DCAA-compliant accounting system.
• Oversees and calculates indirect cost structures, provisional billing rates, and forward pricing support.
• Oversees project setup, funding, labor charging, contract modifications, invoicing, cost allocations, profitability, and project closeout.
• Monitors contract funding, financial performance, and project costs to ensure contract compliance and profitability.
• Leads budgeting, forecasting, indirect rate planning, and financial analysis to support executive decision-making and operational improvements.
• Serves as a member of the client’s consulting group team.
• Supervises, develops, and trains Associates and Senior Associates.
• Reviews and evaluates work prepared by Associates and Senior Associates.
• Trains Associates and Senior Associates on how to use current software tools and GovCon methodology.
• Provides verbal and written performance feedback to Associates and Senior Associates.
