Job summary

PacWest Machinery LLC is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to promote Yanmar, Volvo, and Atlas Copco compact lines in the Spokane, WA metro area. You will develop business, negotiate deals and close orders while delivering on-site demonstrations and technical support.

The role requires 3–5 years in compact equipment sales or rental, a valid driver's license, and strong communication skills. Base salary with commission, full benefits, and company-provided travel will be offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education a plus.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from customers and colleagues.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Sell and rent new and used compact equipment including mini excavators and loaders.
• Quote, negotiate prices, deliver contracts and close orders.
• Build relationships to increase long-term market share and customer loyalty.
• Provide on-site demonstrations and technical support; assist with demonstrations.
• Travel using company truck and trailer for customer demos; stay current with promotions.
• Record accurate sales data and manage expenses in the prospecting system.

PacWest Machinery is recruiting for an outside Sales Representative to promote Yanmar, Volvo, and Atlas Copco compact equipment lines. This position will be responsible for business development primarily in the Spokane, WA metro territory and will report into the Company’s Spokane, WA branch. PacWest provides a full line-up of compact equipment, general production equipment (GPE), aggregate processing, road and allied equipment from well-known companies including Yanmar, Volvo Construction, Atlas Copco, Etnyre, Metso Minerals, Ponsse forestry machines, and leading machine attachment suppliers. About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for representing the Company within a defined territory and delivering profitable sales and rental results, including:

Responsibilities

• Sells and rents new and used compact equipment including mini excavators, tracked loaders, wheeled loaders, portable power, attachments and allied equipment.
• Quotes and negotiates prices, delivers contracts and closes orders.
• Develops relationships and customer loyalty to increase long-term market share.
• Works with customers and potential customers to provide solutions to their equipment needs.
• Provides on-site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections and technical support.
• Uses a Company-provided truck and trailer to facilitate customer demonstrations.
• Attends training and sales meetings as required to stay current with new equipment and special promotions.
• Controls sales expenses and keeps accurate and up-to-date information in the Company’s sales prospecting system.

Qualifications

• Preferred 3-5 years of experience in compact equipment sales or rental, but experience in a related equipment sector will be considered.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education a plus, but equipment sales or rental experience may be substituted or combined with education.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, managers, suppliers and colleagues.
• Ability to meet customer demands for timeliness and flexibility.
• A high level of energy and self-motivation.
• Ability to use standard desktop applications such as the Microsoft Office suite, machine specification and ordering software and certain internet-based programs.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Required Skills

Compensation

Base salary plus commission, $48,000 - $130,000
