Job summary

Eastern Metal Supply, Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to expand our footprint across Western Tennessee, Western Kentucky, Southeast Missouri, Eastern Arkansas, and Northern Mississippi.

You’ll be in the field, developing new accounts and growing revenue through proactive prospecting and strong relationships. The ideal candidate has proven outside sales success, metals industry knowledge, excellent communication, and solid planning skills.

Qualifications

• Outside sales experience required; proven track record in new business development.
• Metals industry knowledge preferred.
• Strong organizational, planning and execution skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Clean driving record (past 5 years).
• Willingness to sign a non-compete agreement.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Develop new accounts through proactive prospecting and relationship-building

• Introduce and promote new products to customers

• Identify opportunities for margin improvement and expanded inventory offerings
• Prepare and present customized pricing and proposals
• Track customer volume, usage, and competitive activity in our system
• Manage your time and territory effectively while traveling to meet clients

What We're Looking For

• Proven sales experience-outside sales background is required
• Industry knowledge in metals is highly preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute effectively
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Solid math skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Clean driving record (no DWI, reckless driving, or similar violations within the last 5 years)
• Willingness to sign a non-compete agreement
