Job summary

River Valley Paint Service is a residential and commercial painting contractor seeking a driven salesperson to grow our market. You will work from home and spend your days in the field meeting homeowners, property managers, general contractors and business owners.

You’ll build your own pipeline, run site visits and close jobs. Our operations team handles scheduling and delivery so you can focus on selling, with a base salary of $40,000–$45,000 plus uncapped commissions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of outside sales experience in painting, construction, home improvement or trades.
• Track record of finding leads and closing deals.
• Comfort estimating jobs or willingness to learn the system quickly.
• Self-motivated, organized, able to manage schedule remotely.
• Professional communication in person, by phone and email.

Responsibilities

• Generate new residential and commercial leads through prospecting and referrals.
• Build relationships with property managers, HOAs, GC's, realtors and commercial owners.
• Conduct on-site consultations: walk the job, measure, photos, understand goals.
• Prepare and present proposals using pricing/production standards.
• Follow up on proposals and close signed contracts with deposits.
• Hand off signed jobs to Operations with notes, colors and scope.
• Log every lead, visit, and proposal in CRM on the same day.
• Hit monthly sales targets and report pipeline weekly.

The role

You’ll work from home and spend your days in the field meeting homeowners, property managers, general contractors and business owners. You’ll build your own pipeline, run site visits and close jobs. Our Operations Manager and Project Manager handle scheduling and delivery, so you can focus on selling.

What you’ll do

• Generate new residential and commercial leads through prospecting, networking, referrals and follow-up
• Build relationships with property managers, HOAs, general contractors, realtors and commercial building owners
• Run on-site consultations: walk the job, measure, take photos and understand the customer's goals
• Prepare and present proposals using our pricing and production standards
• Follow up on every open proposal and close signed contracts with deposits
• Hand signed jobs to Operations with complete notes, colors and scope
• Log every lead, visit and proposal in our CRM the same day
• Hit monthly sales targets and report pipeline activity each week

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years of outside sales, ideally in painting, construction, home improvement or trades
• A track record of finding your own leads and closing deals
• Comfortable estimating jobs, or willing to learn our system quickly
• Self-motivated and organized, able to manage your own schedule remotely
• Professional, confident communication in person, by phone and by email
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and a clean driving record
• Comfortable with a CRM, email and a smartphone or tablet in the field
