Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Sales / Account Manager with expertise in cybersecurity and networking to develop and grow key accounts within the SLED (State, Local, and Education) sector and/or federal government space. In close collaboration with OEM partners, you will execute strategic sales initiatives, build strong relationships, and position our solutions as the partner of choice for public sector organizations.

Note A SLED-focused Account Manager role is currently available, though candidates with strong federal experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals.

Partner with OEM teams to align sales initiatives and maximize solution impact.

Stay informed on market trends, government regulations, and competitive activity to refine the sales approach.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers across SLED and/or federal civilian agencies.

Understand each client’s cybersecurity and networking needs to deliver tailored solutions.

Navigate complex procurement paths, including GSA schedules and other contract vehicles.

Solution Positioning

Present and articulate the value of our cybersecurity and networking solutions in a clear, compelling manner.

Establish trust and credibility with OEM sales teams to co-sell and drive mutual success.

Proposal Development

Collaborate with technical experts and partners to craft customized proposals that align with agency requirements.

Ensure full compliance with all government procurement policies and standards.

Account Growth & Retention

Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts to drive long-term growth.

Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and support.

Reporting & Forecasting

Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline updates in the CRM system.

Deliver timely forecasts and performance reports to sales leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.

Proven success in technology sales, ideally with public sector clients.

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and networking technologies.

Understanding of federal and/or SLED procurement processes and compliance standards.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in team environments.

Passion for winning and exceeding goals.
