Job summary

National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is seeking an Elite Outside Sales Advocate to impact communities by growing NFIB membership through in-person outreach, impactful presentations, and closing deals. You will work in a field role, traveling to meet independent business owners and enroll them on the spot.

The ideal candidate brings entrepreneurial spirit, resilience, and a proven sales approach.

Qualifications

• Entrepreneurial background or ownership experience preferred.
• Strong persistence for face-to-face cold calls and building rapport.
• Willingness to learn and apply a proven sales model.
• Commitment to advocacy and small business interests.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting: conduct in-person outreach to meet small business owners (no appointment setting).
• The NFIB Presentation: master and deliver our 5-minute sales presentation.
• The Close: enroll new members with an assumptive one-call close and process payments.
• Advocacy: educate owners on NFIB protections in Washington, D.C. and state capitals.
