Air Compressor Equipment, Inc, a trusted provider of high end air compressor equipment from south Georgia to central Florida, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Salesperson (Hunter/Estimator) to join our growing team. This position combines the responsibilities of sales and project estimating, requiring a strong understanding of B2B sales of industrial equipment, finding new sales opportunities, excellent customer service skills, and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Lead Management:
- Identify and target new business opportunities for compressed air equipment in local and regional businesses.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, contractors, and project managers with current and future air needs.
- Actively pursue leads through networking, referrals, cold calls, and industry events.
- Understand customer needs and propose solutions tailored to their compressed air requirements.
- Meet or exceed sales targets while supporting company growth.
Project Estimating & Proposal Development:
- Perform on-site visits and assessments of potential projects to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for compressed air projects, considering materials, labor, and equipment.
- Develop and present project proposals to clients, ensuring clarity and accuracy in the cost breakdowns and timelines.
- Provide clients with realistic timelines and project expectations, helping them make informed decisions.
- Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to accurately assess project scope and requirements.
Sales Support & Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure the seamless execution of contracts once projects are awarded.
- Coordinate with vendors and project teams to obtain pricing and availability information for accurate and competitive proposals.
- Ensure that all client questions are answered in a timely manner, and work to resolve any issues or concerns during the bidding process.
- Keep accurate records of client communications, estimates, proposals, and project status in CRM.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the life of the project, from estimating through project completion.
- Address and resolve client concerns, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and client retention.
Market Research & Industry Knowledge:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, pricing, and technologies in compressed air technology to ensure competitive and accurate proposals.
- Monitor competitor pricing and services to keep Air Compressor Equipment competitive in the market.
- Gather feedback from clients and field teams to refine estimating processes and improve proposals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales and estimating, preferably within the B2B commercial/industrial equipment space.
- Strong knowledge of industrial equipment market, materials, and commercial installations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to detail and the ability to develop accurate estimates based on site assessments and project requirements.
- Time-management and organizational skills to handle multiple estimates, proposals, and client communications simultaneously.
- Strong customer service and a focus on building lasting relationships.
- Proficiency in using estimating software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field .
- At least 2-3 years of experience in B2B sales and/or project estimating within the commercial equipment, industrial equipment, or high end installation industry.
