Job Scope
The Sales Estimator will play a key role within the Service Division, responsible for conducting site visits, gathering measurements, preparing accurate estimates, and maintaining strong client relationships. This field-based role requires hands-on assessments and quoting for various glass and door projects. The Estimator will collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are scoped effectively, quoted accurately, and executed smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct on-site assessments, gather measurements, and evaluate project conditions.
Prepare detailed estimates and quotes for glass and door-related jobs, including emergency repairs, storefront replacements, door adjustments, and specialty projects.
Perform timely follow-ups on submitted quotes and maintain communication with clients regarding project progress.
Collaborate with the service team, vendors, and subcontractors to confirm material availability, obtain quotes, and coordinate timelines.
Utilize Glazier's Tool and company-provided iPad applications for field reporting, scope documentation, and internal communication.
Work closely with the Scheduling & Operations Team to ensure seamless project handoffs and execution.
Support recurring property maintenance programs through proactive client engagement and site inspections.
Lead communication with clients for complex or urgent projects, ensuring customer needs are met with responsiveness and professionalism.
Stay aligned with internal processes, maintain accurate documentation, and use company templates and communication systems efficiently.

Emergency Glass Replacement & Board-Ups.
Commercial Door Repairs & Hardware Adjustments
Fogged or Failed Insulated Glass Unit (IGU) Replacements.
Interior Office Glass Systems & Mirror Installations.
Frameless Showers, Specialty Glass Modifications, and Solar/Safety Film Applications.
Recurring Property Maintenance Projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience in estimating, sales, or construction-related roles, preferably in glass, glazing, or door services.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build relationships with clients and vendors.
Proficient with digital tools for field reporting, estimating, and project tracking (iPad usage, estimating software preferred).
Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Ability to prioritize urgent client needs (e.g., emergency repairs, safety hazards.
Familiarity with glazing products, doors, hardware, and related materials is a plus.
Strong understanding of measurements, site assessments, and project scoping.
