Job summary

Northern Safety Co. in Akron, OH is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to expand the customer base through direct face-to-face engagement. You will build relationships, quote prices, and coordinate with inside and affiliate teams to secure orders and schedule deliveries.

The ideal candidate has an AA degree or equivalent, 1–3 years selling experience, a valid state driver's license, and strong written and verbal communication. Organization and self-motivation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of customer purchases using monthly reports and provide feedback.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel the defined territory to grow business through direct face to face contact with customer base.
• Builds customer relationships through consultative selling techniques, soliciting orders and/or talking with customers via phone and virtual meeting place technology.
• Work with customer service and branch location to develop new business.
• Work with inside sales representatives to establish contact for customers to place orders, delivery schedule and obtain pricing information.
• Quote prices on products and determines if a customer would fit into a volume purchase program.
• Responsible of keeping abreast of customer purchases by using monthly customer reports.
• Follow up on any samples or catalogs issued to prospective or existing customers.
• Work with Product Trainer to gain knowledge of what applications products are used for so customers are kept informed of current developments.
• Promptly meet territory reporting deadlines and have competitive reconnaissance.
• Responsible for recording activities and opportunities in our CRM on a daily basis.
• Supply company with information in regards to any customer feedback and be a resource to all current sales channels.
• Plan and organize sales strategies.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education, Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college; one to three years selling experience preferred; or equivalent combination of both education and experience.
