Job description

Summary: Implements and executes sales plan in order to maximize sales potential and meet or exceed sales objectives. Directs all sales activities within region. Manages account and revenue productivity of Account Executives, inside or outside, within established company guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manages assigned revenue budget and implements strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve company goals.
  • Manages performance of Account Executives to established standards, including account growth, revenue performance, and Internet product sales.
  • Monitors competition, analyzes competitive data, and develops aggressive game plans.
  • Assesses, develops and trains Account Executives within the region.
  • Observes and coaches Account Executives on effective sales practices and techniques for field or telemarketing sales.
  • Evaluates performance of Account Executives within the region.
  • Recruits and selects highly qualified associates.
  • Provides effective leadership to a remote workforce as needed.
  • Utilizes high competency level in direct sales, including:
    • Sales presentations
    • Negotiation
    • Relationship management
    • Closing the sale
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving expertise in customer relationship management.
  • Analyzes sales activity statistics to formulate game plans to achieve regional targets.
  • Communicates expectations and results clearly, concisely, credibly, and timely to superiors, subordinates, and customers.
  • Represents the company at trade associations or similar meetings to promote the organization.
  • Acts as liaison between region and other functional departments.
  • Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume, sales activity, target accounts, competitive activity, and areas of proposed client and/or revenue base expansion.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Directly supervises Account Executives within the assigned region.
  • Conducts hiring, training, performance appraisal, rewarding, disciplining, and problem resolution.
  • Ensures compliance with data protection regulations as a Data Steward.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum one to two years of sales management experience.
  • Prior sales management experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, evidence of insurance, and safe driving required.
  • Field sales activity may be required.
