Job summary

The Taylor Group Inc is seeking a Sales Representative in Pasadena, TX to drive outside sales of generators and transfer switches within the assigned territory. You will contact existing customers and prospects in person, by phone, and by email to identify needs and present tailored solutions.

You will prepare detailed quotes, using the Taylor Power Quote System, and work with the General Sales Manager to ensure pricing is aligned with opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two years of industrial/commercial generator sales experience.
• Good mechanical knowledge of generators and transfer switches.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and email tools.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed generator bid specifications.
• Ability to call on customers and prospects at all levels of business.
• Proficient at following up weekly with customers on quotes.
• Strong people skills and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate response to sales inquiries from customers and prospects.
• Prepare detailed, descriptive written quotations.
• Use computers and databases to deliver fast customer responses.
• Submit timely reports and expense reports.
• Maintain a professional appearance with customers.
• Develop strong relationships to ensure long-term repeat business.
• Regularly communicate with the Sales Manager about leads and opportunities.
• Engage with trade associations and groups to promote products and services.
