Job summary

USI Insurance Services is seeking an Outside Employee Benefits sales professional in Cleveland to drive new business and expand revenue with existing clients. You will manage client relationships, pursue cross-sell opportunities, and participate in national and regional meetings to grow profitability.

The ideal candidate holds a Life and Health license, has 3+ years of sales experience in insurance brokerage, and demonstrates strong communication and presentation skills with a consultative,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience in an insurance brokerage with a proven track record
• Must hold a Life and Health insurance license
• Strong knowledge of Employee Benefits
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
• Consultative, positive approach with clients and prospects
• Solid visibility within HR and benefits community
• Excellent listening skills and customer focus

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual new business sales of $200k in target market (200–2,000 employees)
• Retain at least 92% of business year over year with leadership and account management support
• Develop sales plans and prospect effectively
• Explain USI’s competitive differentiation to clients and prospects
• Collaborate with account management on significant client services
• Participate in industry training, meetings, and sales programs
• Pursue cross-selling opportunities and build relationships with clients
