Job summary

USI Insurance Services is seeking an Outside Employee Benefits sales professional in Charlotte, NC to drive new business and client growth. The role emphasizes retention, profitability, and cross-selling within mid-to-large employer groups.

You will partner with leadership and account management, research prospects, and leverage USI tools to close deals while representing USI at industry events. A Life & Health license and a proven sales record are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales experience in an insurance brokerage with a proven track record.
• Must hold a Life and Health insurance license.
• Strong knowledge of Employee Benefits.
• Personable, highly motivated, and goal oriented. Driven to achieve sales goals.
• Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annualized new business sales of $200k in our target market (200-2,000 employees).
• Retain at least 92% of business year over year with leadership and account management support.
• Meet new business activity and quality appointment goals.
• Develop messaging for prospects and use resources to reach targets.
• Attend national and regional meetings and video calls.
• Input data into CRM and sales tools for revenue projections.
