Job summary

Paychex is seeking a Sales Leader to drive activity metrics and revenue quotas across the district. You will coach and train sales reps, manage product lines within budget, and recruit top performers to meet corporate goals.

The role involves developing a referral network with CPAs, enrolled agents, and bookkeepers, collaborating with service, HR/OD, and other sales divisions, and traveling for incentives and trainings as needed. Paychex emphasizes integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Marketing preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in sales leadership.
• Outside sales experience required.
• Sales management and selling techniques preferred.
• Budgeting and auditing experience preferred.
• HCM experience preferred.
• Experience with expense reports and sales reporting preferred.
• Product lining and marketing familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to meet activity metrics and unit and revenue quotas as directed by the Zone Manager.
• Coach, supervise, and train assigned sales representatives in knowledge and skills.
• Manage corporate objectives across product lines within budgeted guidelines.
• Recruit, select, and direct sales staff to meet or exceed goals; monitor forecasts and take corrective action.
• Identify leadership candidates and refer them to the Zone Manager.
• Develop a referral network with CPAs, enrolled agents, and bookkeepers via the sales staff.
• Collaborate with service, HR/OD, and other sales divisions to align objectives.
• Ensure accuracy of weekly activity reports and audit commissions/expenses.
• Oversee ongoing sales staff training in knowledge areas and selling skills.
• Manage budget items and may travel for incentives, training, and meetings.
