Job summary

University of Maryland Baltimore County’s Sherman Center seeks an Outreach and Business Coordinator to act as the front door for the center, coordinating outreach with alumni, supporting staff, onboarding new employees, and managing payroll audits. The role contributes to program growth and campus events, working closely with the Assistant Director for Operations.

The position supports MECLP and campus activities, with responsibilities spanning outreach campaigns, event management, payroll

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in administrative staff work.
• Ability to independently handle multiple tasks and set priorities.
• Experience coordinating events.
• Spanish language proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Outreach coordination with alumni and community partners; maintain updated contact lists and social media for GBSC.
• Plan and manage event logistics for GBSC events, coordinating with UMBC Events team.
• Support onboarding and payroll processes for employees, including student workers, and respond to payroll inquiries.
