University of Maryland, College Park is seeking a Business Office Coordinator to provide comprehensive HR, payroll, procurement, travel and events coordination, facilities, asset management, and web operations support within the Mathematics department.
The role ensures onboarding and payroll processing, oversees student employment, manages procurement and facilities, and maintains the department’s digital presence in collaboration with central admin units.
Organization's Summary Statement: The Business Office Coordinator provides comprehensive support across human resources, payroll, procurement, travel & events coordination, facilities, asset management, and web operations within the department. This role ensures efficient onboarding and payroll processing, oversees student employment, manages procurement and facilities operations, and maintains the department’s digital presence. The position collaborates closely with the Business office, faculty and central administrative units to ensure operational excellence, compliance and effective communication.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: One (1) year of professional human resources, payroll, finance, accounting, procurement or travel coordination experience.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
