Job summary

High Plains Library District is seeking a dedicated outreach professional to coordinate programming and build community partnerships from the Administration & Support Services Office in Greeley, CO. The role requires a Master of Library and Information Science and experience in library programming, outreach, and reference services.

You will deliver programs in-person or online, network with local organizations, and serve as a staff resource for reference and reader’s advisory.

Qualifications

• MLS required or preferred.
• Two or more years of library experience.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Spanish reading/writing/speaking (preferred).

Responsibilities

• 40% - OUTREACH PROGRAMMING: Identify programs and events; partner with community agencies; deliver programs in-person or online; assess outcomes.
• 25% - COMMUNITY NETWORKING: Engage with community organizations; plan programming with literacy-focused agencies and schools; increase library awareness.
• 10% - DRIVES LARGE VEHICLES: Safely operate bookmobiles/ vans to remote locations and through traffic.
• 10% - PATRON ASSISTANCE: Help patrons locate information; provide technology instruction; offer reference and reader’s advisory services; manage circulation tasks.
• 5% - COLLECTION MAINTENANCE: Update web content; notify librarian of discards to keep collection current.
• 5% - STAFF RESOURCE: Mentor staff; share insights from community conversations; support reference services.
• 5% - OTHER DUTIES: Write grants, create displays, assist with budgets, prepare reports.
