Job summary

Pueblo City-County Library District is seeking a part-time Program and Outreach Specialist who will plan and deliver engaging programs for all ages and build strong community partnerships. You will assist customers, manage resources, and promote library services across multiple locations.

The role emphasizes outreach, event coordination, and staff collaboration, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service and expanding library programs while working a flexible schedule in a library

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of one-year related job experience.
• Experience planning and executing library, community, school or other programs and events is preferred.
• Strong orientation toward teaching, education and learning.

Responsibilities

• Plans and carries out public educational, cultural, and creative programs and events for adults, teens, and children.
• Engages in hospitality to provide customer assistance and promote program attendance.
• Builds partnerships with community organizations relative to library programming.
• Instructs customers on use of library computers and digital resources and stays current on new resources.
• Compiles program statistics, prepares reports and maintains program data.
• May act as PIC in branch and assist in training of new employees and volunteers.
• Supports collection development and maintains safety policies and procedures.
