Qualifikationen

• 3+ years experience in a health care office setting with working knowledge of electronic scheduling system and obtaining authorization for commercial and government insurance plans.
• Some supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access
• Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills required.
• Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.

Aufgaben

• Coordinates referrals and screening of patients for admission consideration; informs involved parties of scheduling and intervenes with physicians, nursing staff and case management as needed.
• Provides clerical support to the director; handles phones, returns calls within 24 hours, verifies insurance for patients, schedules appointments, meetings and conferences.
• Communicates clinical and conference updates to external case managers to ensure proper utilization of services and payment.
• Prepares department reports and enters data into national databases for program evaluation as required.
• Assists staff with patient comfort, addresses concerns of patients and families, and maintains back-office duties and infection control procedures.
