Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Service Counselor at Hiland Mountain Correctional Center in Eagle River, AK. The full-time position offers 40 hours per week with a rate of $34.31 USD per hour.

You will maintain a caseload, facilitate groups, perform SBIRT and ASAM assessments, and develop treatment plans while ensuring compliance with ADOC SATS contracts. Alaska certification is required; CDC Level 1 within one year is expected.

Qualifications

• Alaska State Counselor Technician Certification required.
• Knowledgeable about Substance Related and Addictive Disorders.
• Experience with ADOC SATS contract requirements preferred.
• Pass ADOC background check and PREA screening.
• If not CDC Level 1, submit a plan to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload and facilitate groups and staff meetings.
• Complete SBIRT and ASAM assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Coordinate reentry planning and referrals as needed.
• Ensure timely documentation in compliance with contract requirements.
