Job summary

Trinity Health in Latham, NY is seeking a Patient Access Concierge for our outpatient vascular surgery office. This full-time, day-shift role registers patients, schedules appointments and surgeries, verifies demographics, insurance information, and financial data during pre-registration.

You will enter patient information into the hospital systems, provide payment estimates, educate patients on registration kiosks and online tools, and escalate issues to the Lead Concierge as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in hospital/clinic or health care billing or customer service.
• Knowledge of insurance programs and billing processes preferred.
• Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS terminology preferred.
• Excellent communication and data entry skills, detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity, demographics, and insurance.
• Accept point of service payments.
• Enter patient information into hospital systems.
• Refer financial questions to appropriate resources.
• Process documents to obtain insurance information.
• Provide payment estimates for out-of-pocket costs.
• Educate patients on registration kiosks or online systems.
• Escalate routine issues to Lead Patient Access Concierge.
