Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP1 track. The position provides and coordinates clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned patient group undergoing hemodialysis.

The role involves collaboration with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians, and participation in education, leadership and quality improvement activities within the End Stage Kidney Disease health care team.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Delegate tasks to direct patient care staff (RNs, LVN/LPNs, Patient Care Technicians) as appropriate.
• Participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership and quality improvement activities to enhance patient care outcomes and facility operations.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and document effectiveness.
• Initiate or assist with emergency response measures.
• Lead or supervise staff as assigned by Supervisor/Team Leader.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
