Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in hospital/clinic/customer service.
• Familiarity with insurance verification and patient billing.
• Proficient in Windows applications and data entry.
• Strong written and verbal communication with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients, guests, and family.
• Create, activate, and complete scheduling, registration, or admission process.
• Ensure all required forms are completed and other paperwork/documents are gathered accurately.
• Efficiently input patient/guarantor demographic and financial information; explain insurance benefits and collect co-pays, deductibles and self-pay portions.
• Balance cash drawer daily, prepare deposit slips and follow closing cash drawer process at end of shift.
• Demonstrate respect and cooperation in all staff relationships and assist in resolving interpersonal conflicts.
• Respect privacy and adapt communication to the patient population and situations.
