Qualifications

• Knowledge of insurance plans and coordination of benefits required.
• Experience with patient registration and bills processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Capture and enter patient demographic and financial information into the system.
• Assist patients with registration at ED, outpatient imaging, surgery or other points.
• Coordinate with insurance verification and financial counseling to obtain authorization.
• Explain Medicare documents and obtain signatures from patients.
• Process payments and prepare daily deposits.
• Resolve work queues and support departmental goals and policy compliance.
• Cross-train across registration points to support multiple facilities.
