Job summary

You will supervise staff development, monitor attendance, partner with billing to optimize real-time payment collection, and stay current with coding and insurance changes to support accurate registrations in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of formal training beyond high school (e.g., Associates Degree).
• Three to five years related experience; payroll processing preferred.
• Knowledge of patient processing software and Microsoft Office suite required.
• Experience with payroll processing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the day-to-day activities of the department.
• Responsible for day to day staff development and performance management.
• Maintains an account of staff attendance and processes payroll.
• Demonstrates a proficiency in the specific department functions and is a resource for staff in this area.
• Works closely with the billing office to create a real time payment collection process.
• Updates and resolves coding and insurance changes, disseminating those changes to staff.
• Promotes an effective work team to accomplish department goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
