Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for outpatient care in Montour Falls, NY. You will provide skilled therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and help implement individualized treatment plans.

You will guide patients through exercises, gait and balance activities, and home programs, educate families, and monitor responses to treatment with precise documentation.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Current NY State PTA license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Current CPR certification.
• Annual mandatory safety in-services and HealthStream trainings.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled physical therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assists with implementing individualized treatment plans to address patient goals and functional needs.
• Instructs and assists patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and activities of daily living.
• Helps patients use assistive devices safely (crutches, walkers, canes, orthotics).
• Administers modalities as directed by the PT, such as heat/cold packs and ultrasound.
• Monitors and documents patient responses and communicates progress to the supervising PT.
• Contributes to discharge planning and reinforces home exercise programs.
