Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners in Old Saybrook, CT is seeking an entry-level Physical Therapy Aide to join our outpatient team. You will escort patients, observe treatments, and assist with exercises under the physical therapist's direction, while preparing treatment areas and maintaining cleanliness.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong multitasking and communication skills, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in an outpatient physical therapy clinic or personal training environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to treatment areas.
• Observe patients during treatments and report to the physical therapist.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Prepare treatment areas for patient care.
• Prepare modality treatments under supervision (electrical stimulation, hot/cold packs, iontophoresis, BFRT).
• Keep treatment areas and equipment clean and in working order; report problems promptly.
• Perform deep cleaning of equipment as needed.
• Assist with orientation and training of new physical therapy technicians.
• Perform supply inventory and unpack/check-in supply orders.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and organized supply closets.
• Adhere to HIPAA/OSHA regulations.
