Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Rehab Aide to support the Outpatient Rehabilitation Center. Under the guidance of a Licensed Physical Therapist, you will assist in delivering physical therapy services to patients at the Chestnut Hill location, with potential travel to Dedham for coverage as needed.

The role involves helping with exercises, patient instruction, and daily documentation. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, and BLS/Heart Saver certification is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred in related field (e.g., Exercise Physiology or Athletic Training).
• American Heart Association Heart Saver or BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides delegated treatments to patients under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Assists with follow-up of exercises, functional activities, and measurements.
• Instructs patients on correct form and usage of equipment to prevent injury.
• Documents patient performance in daily flow sheets under therapist direction.
• Assists with administrative duties and inventory to support daily operations.
• Adheres to infection control policies and maintains clean, organized patient areas.
