Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Per Diem Day Rehabilitation Support teammate at Winchester Hospital. You will assist Physical Therapists, help prepare equipment, escort and support patients, and cover front desk tasks to maintain smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ,
• Preferred: Students enrolled in physical therapy, athletic training or other health related field.

Responsibilities

• Assesses waiting room status regularly and liaises with patients to ensure comfort and wait-time satisfaction.
• Greets, transports and escorts patients, educates and identifies patients to ensure they feel welcomed and comfortable.
• Assists Therapists in preparing equipment for treatment.
• Provides ambulatory assistance to patients as necessary.
• Keeps department clean, free of obstacles and stocked with supplies and linen.
• Assists with front desk coverage: answers phone and non-clinical rehab questions.
• Schedules patients and changes appointments; collects patient co-pays.
• Performs safety checks on equipment at start/end of shift and throughout day.
• Responds to supply/equipment issues to maximize useful life.
