Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Part-time Physical Therapy Aide at Winchester Hospital to assist therapists and support staff. You will help prepare treatment equipment, transport and guide patients, and maintain a clean, efficient rehab area to improve patient flow and experience.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, good English communication, and flexibility to rotate shifts. On-site position with potential travel between rehab locations and vaccination as a condition

Qualifications

• Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Students enrolled in physical therapy, athletic training or other health related field
• Experience: Preferred: Previous rehab aide experience
• Prior in healthcare, a clerical role and/or other positions with a strong customer service element
• For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team
• LIFE SUPPORT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: N/A

Responsibilities

• Assists Therapists and support functions to optimize rehabilitation services operations.
• Greets, transports and Escorts patients; educates and identifies patients to make them feel welcomed.
• Assists in preparing equipment for treatment and provides ambulatory assistance as needed.
• Keeps department clean, stocked with supplies and linen; answers non-clinical questions and schedules patients.
• Performs safety checks on equipment and responds to supply/equipment issues to maximize life of assets.
