Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Services Aide to assist therapists by preparing treatment areas, supporting patient treatments, and monitoring vital signs. The role includes maintaining department organization, ensuring patient safety, and providing clerical support such as registration, scheduling, and data collection.

Reporting to the Manager of Physical and/or Physical Therapy, you will participate in quality improvement activities and help deliver patient-centered care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Good problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient identification.
• Obtain patient vital signs and monitor pain as directed by therapist.
• Notify therapist of abnormal vital signs, pain or safety concerns.
• Observe and report abnormal patient symptoms or behavior.
• Assist therapists with patient treatments.
• Set up patient treatment areas before treatment.
• Perform general maintenance and organization of the department.
• Provide clerical support: registration, scheduling, co-pays, filing, data collection, phones, inventory, supplies.
