Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network in Bethlehem, PA, is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with physical impairments to maximize function.

You will design and implement individualized treatment plans and educate patients and their families on prevention and wellness. The role includes initial evaluations, skilled interventions, goal setting, progress documentation, and teamwork with other clinicians.

Qualifications

• Doctoral or higher degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current licensure in PA or NJ (depending on work location).
• BLS certification required upon hire or within 30 days.
• Minimum one year of outpatient PT experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive initial evaluations and develop a treatment plan to improve movement and reduce pain.
• Provide skilled interventions using appropriate techniques, modalities and equipment.
• Collaborate with patients to set short and long-term goals.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and other providers; ensure informed consent and confidentiality.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and PT/PTA students as assigned.
• Document progress and outcomes in the patient’s medical record and adjust plans as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement, education activities and department programs.
