Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking an experienced Outpatient Physical Therapist to join a dedicated rehabilitation team in Cayuga, NY within the Finger Lakes region. The role focuses on hands-on care, patient relationships, and evidence-based therapy in an outpatient clinic.

Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings preferred.
• Must hold or be eligible for a valid Physical Therapist license in the state at time of hire.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds independently and up to 150 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to deliver high-quality, compassionate care for a wide range of patients including orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer therapeutic treatments including exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and patient education.
• Educate patients on exercise programs, posture correction, and injury prevention.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with departmental policies.
• Provide excellent patient education to empower individuals in managing their rehabilitation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, adhering to infection control and safety guidelines.
