Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a Physical Therapist to evaluate and manage patients with impairments, designing individualized treatment plans to maximize function.

The role involves skilled, evidence-based interventions, patient education, and collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams in an outpatient setting. Requires licensure in PA or NJ and BLS/CPR certification, with at least one year of outpatient PT experience.

Qualifications

• Doctoral, Masters or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited physical therapy program or certificate.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent, required upon hire or within 30 days.
• Current Physical Therapist license in PA or NJ, based on work location.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive initial evaluations and develops a treatment plan to improve movement and reduce pain.
• Provides skilled interventions tailored to patient needs using appropriate modalities and equipment.
• Collaborates with patients to set short- and long-term goals.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and care teams, ensuring confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.
• Manages patients to improve movement, pain, and function; refers when appropriate.
• Maintains and updates diagnosis, prognosis and care plans based on evidence and clinical reasoning.
• Educates patients/families about prognosis and care options.
• Supervises PTs and PTAs and facilitates student learning.
• Participates in quality improvement and professional development activities.
