Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Pennsylvania/NJ area seeks a Physical Therapist to evaluate, diagnose and manage patients with functional impairments.

You will design and implement individualized treatment plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize health and wellness. The role requires outpatient experience, current PT licensure in PA or NJ, BLS, CPR, and at least one year of outpatient practice.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive initial evaluations to identify functional deficits and develops a treatment plan to improve movement, reduce or manage pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
• Provides skilled interventions tailored to patient needs using appropriate techniques, modalities, and equipment.
• Collaborates with patients to create short and long-term goals.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other health care providers, ensuring informed consent and confidentiality.
• Manages patients to improve movement and function through direct or indirect treatments or referrals as appropriate.
• Establishes and updates diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care based on evidence and clinical reasoning.
• Documents patient information in medical records and history.
• Educates patients and family about prognosis and care options.
• Participates in program development, quality improvement, continuing education and professional development.
• Monitors and documents patient progress and satisfaction with services.
• Shares clinical knowledge to improve patient care.
• Supervises PTAs and students as assigned.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to safety policies.
• Adheres to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards of the PT profession and organization.
• Demonstrates service excellence and performance improvement in clinical care, customer service, operations and safety.
• Demonstrates financial responsibility through efficient use of resources.
• Follows attendance and dress code policies.
• Demonstrates competency in age-appropriate assessment and treatment communication.
• Attends meetings as designated or requested.
• Accurately bills for services.
• Provides in-services and participates in quality initiatives.
• Cleans and orders supplies as assigned.
