Job summary

Intermountain Health's St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO, seeks an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to help launch a new outpatient pharmacy program. You will support pharmacists, prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and shape patient care experiences in a growing operation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy and distribution of drugs.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintains required records.
• Uses pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and perform necessary calculations.
• Under supervision, assists with verification and accuracy of tasks by pharmacists.
• Maintains medication supplies and inventory, including controlled substances, per policy.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and safety initiatives.
