Job summary

Intermountain Health St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado is launching a new outpatient pharmacy. We are seeking an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to help build workflows, assist pharmacists, and support patients in a growing program.

You will prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and participate in daily operations in a retail-like setting with a strong focus on patient care and collaboration within a dedicated pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license for state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
• Retail/ambulatory pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists in collecting patient information and records.
• Prepares medication orders and compounds medications as appropriate.
• Ensures proper supervision and verification by pharmacists.
• Maintains controlled substance inventories and related documentation.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in safety initiatives.
