Job summary

Intermountain Health is opening a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician who will help build workflows, assist pharmacists, and support patient access to medications in a retail-like clinical setting.

You will partner with pharmacists and technicians to prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and support patients throughout their care journey in a growing program.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and drug distribution.
• Lapses may result in disciplinary action or termination at the hiring manager's discretion.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepare medication orders and compound medications as appropriate to practice site.
• Ensure appropriate supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist.
• Maintain and verify medication inventories including controlled substances.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.
