Job summary

Intermountain Health's St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, is launching a new outpatient pharmacy and seeking an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to help build workflows, coordinate medication access, and support patients from prescription intake to dispensing.

You will work with pharmacists and technicians in a retail-like setting that emphasizes patient care, compliance with regulations, and efficient operations, with 10-hour shifts, PRN hours, and no weekend work.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of approved drugs, controlled substances, and investigational agents

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining appropriate records
• Uses pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and perform calculations
• Ensures supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist
• Fills and maintains medication supplies including controlled substance inventories and 340B/Charging management
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives
