Job summary

Intermountain Health at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, is launching a new outpatient pharmacy and seeks an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to help build the program from day one.

In this part-time role (20 hours, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday), you will support pharmacists, prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and contribute to patient care experiences in a retail-style setting.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining appropriate records.
• Prepares medication orders for dispensing and performs calculations as necessary.
• Maintains accurate controlled substance inventories and 340B/Charging management.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
• Supports daily operations and helps establish workflows for the outpatient program.
