Job summary

Intermountain Health’s St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, launches a new outpatient pharmacy and seeks an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to help build workflows and patient care experiences.

You will partner with pharmacists and technicians to prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and support patients throughout the process in a growing program. This part‑time role offers 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with 8:00 AM–6:00 PM pharmacy hours.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of approved drugs, controlled substances, and investigational agents.
• Lapses may lead to disciplinary action per policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist by collecting patient information and keeping records.
• Use pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and perform calculations.
• Ensure supervision and accuracy checks by pharmacists.
• Fill and monitor medication inventories, including controlled substances.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in safety initiatives.
