Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. The Pharmacy Technician will help build workflows, support daily operations, and collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to prepare prescriptions and coordinate medication access.

You will engage closely with patients, support care experiences, and contribute to a growing program in a retail-like environment with a strong emphasis on patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license to practice in the state.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice and controlled substances.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records as required.
• Uses pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders for dispensing and calculations as needed.
• Works under pharmacist supervision to verify tasks and ensure accuracy.
• Maintains medication supplies including controlled substances inventories and 340B/charging management.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
