Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.

We are hiring an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician for a part-time, 20-hour week, Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends or holidays), with Pharmacy hours 8:00 AM–6:00 PM. You will support daily operations, assist pharmacists, prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and help foster patient care experiences within a growing program.

Qualifications

High School or equivalent is required.
Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of approved drugs, controlled substances, and investigational agents.

Responsibilities

Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining appropriate records as required by regulation and policy.
Utilizes pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders for dispensing and compounds medications as appropriate to practice site.
Attains supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist(s) and knows when to escalate tasks.
Fills and maintains medication supplies including verifying controlled substances inventories and 340B/Charging management.
Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
