Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to help build workflows, coordinate medication access, and support patients throughout their care journey.

You will work alongside pharmacists and technicians to prepare prescriptions, expand patient care experiences, and contribute to daily operations in a retail-like pharmacy environment with a focus on patient-centered care.

Qualifications

High School or equivalent is required.
Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding pharmacy practice.
Lapses or failure to meet requirements may result in disciplinary action at hiring manager's discretion.

Responsibilities

Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining records.
Uses pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders, performs calculations, and compounds medications as needed.
Attains supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist and knows when to escalate tasks for review.
Maintains medication supplies and monitors controlled substances inventories per policy.
Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
