Job summary

Intermountain Health St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is launching a new outpatient pharmacy.

We seek a Pharmacy Technician to help build workflows and patient care experiences while partnering with pharmacists and other technicians to prepare prescriptions and manage medication access. The role emphasizes retail-like patient contact with a strong connection to care delivery in a growing program.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding practice of pharmacy and distribution of drugs.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepares medication orders for dispensing and compounds medications as appropriate to site.
• Maintains controlled substance inventories and ensures security and cost effectiveness.
• Communicates with caregivers regarding responsibilities and participates in quality initiatives and patient safety.
• Supports Pharmacy Services across locations (acute, community, ambulatory, specialty).
