Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. We seek an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to help build this program and shape patient care from day one.

In this role, you will support daily operations, collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and assist patients throughout the pharmacy experience in a retail-like setting with a strong focus on care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license for state of practice.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and drug distribution.
• Lapse in required certifications may lead to disciplinary action or termination at hiring manager’s discretion.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records as required by policy.
• Prepares medication orders for dispensing and compounds medications as appropriate per site protocols.
• Ensures supervision and accuracy checks by pharmacist(s) are obtained and tasks are verified when required.
• Maintains medication supplies and inventories, including controlled substances per policy and 340B/charging management.
