Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.

We seek a Pharmacy Technician to join the team and help build workflows, patient care experiences, and daily operations under pharmacist supervision. You will prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and support patients along their care journey in a retail-like outpatient setting with strong clinical ties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification/licensure required.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing and perform calculations as needed.
• Ensure supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist are followed.
• Maintain medication supplies and monitor inventories for security and cost controls.
• Communicate with caregivers and participate in patient safety initiatives.
