Job summary

Intermountain Health St. Mary's Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado is launching a new ambulatory outpatient pharmacy and seeks an engaged Outpatient Clinical Pharmacist to help build this program.

You will partner with the Pharmacy Manager, pharmacists, and technicians to shape workflows, optimize daily operations, and deliver safe, patient-centered care. The role rewards initiative, collaboration, and adaptability as the service grows.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (education verified).
License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances.
Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy in the state of practice.
Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs

Responsibilities

Reviews patients' medication orders for allergy interactions, duplication, appropriateness, and drug interactions; intervenes to optimize medication use.
Oversees and/or participates in ensuring medications are prepared and delivered timely to care areas; stored securely and appropriately.
Provides counseling to patients and promotes quality medication education and adherence.
Supervises interns, technicians, and support personnel; provides clinical consultation to health professionals.
Solves problems related to equipment, maintenance, drug availability, staffing, and patient care concerns.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and safety; participates in departmental meetings.
