Job summary
Intermountain Health St. Mary's Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO, seeks an Outpatient Clinical Pharmacist to help build a new ambulatory pharmacy program. The role partners with the Pharmacy Manager and team to shape care workflows, ensure safe, efficient medication use, and deliver patient-centered services.
You will contribute to daily operations, account for regulatory compliance, and drive quality improvement across the outpatient setting.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited school.
- Current license to practice pharmacy in the state of practice.
- Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations and statutes.
Responsibilities
- Review medication orders for allergies, interactions, and therapy appropriateness.
- Assure timely preparation and delivery of medications to care areas.
- Counsel patients and promote medication education and adherence.
- Supervise interns, technicians, and support staff as needed.
- Identify and address problems in equipment, drug availability, and staffing.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and safety.
