Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching an outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary's Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, seeking an Outpatient Clinical Pharmacist to support daily operations and help shape workflows and patient care standards.

You will partner with the Pharmacy Manager, pharmacists, and technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care while contributing to a growing program and evolving services.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (education verified).
• License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy in the state of practice.
• Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs

Responsibilities

• Reviews patients' medication orders for allergies, interactions, and appropriateness of therapy; makes interventions to optimize medication use.
• Oversees medication preparation and delivery to care areas, ensuring secure storage and workflow.
• Provides counseling to patients and promotes medication education and adherence.
• Supervises interns, technicians, and support staff; provides clinical consultation to health professionals.
• Identifies and solves problems related to equipment, maintenance, drug availability, staffing, and patient care.
• Identifies opportunities to improve processes for patient satisfaction and safety; participates in departmental meetings.
